About Me
It was a bit of a whirlwind of an experience and we ended up buying quickly with him. There wasn’t very much time to explain the paperwork or the process. After a few years, my wife and I started looking for a larger home as we were planning to start a family. The same thing happened when we purchased our next home. We had more time for explanations but the explanations didn’t come. Rightly or wrongly, we felt pressured into a higher offer price than we felt comfortable with. My wife and I almost lost the chance to upsize into the home our family needed to grow.
A couple of years later, while I was helping my Dad fix up his cottage, I had a table saw accident and lost part of my left hand. I was off work from my job at St. Mary’s General Hospital and wasn’t able to help maintain the first property that we were now renting out. Looking back on issues with past real estate transactions, I opted to sell that house on my own. That experience wasn’t ideal either. I was a bit frustrated by the same lack of information and explanation from the Lawyer that we hired. It felt like we had nobody to truly guide us through the experience.
I was disappointed with these experiences. I also knew that I wasn’t able to physically continue working at the hospital. I decided to take matters into my own hands and I enrolled in real estate courses. I wanted to make sure that what happened to me and my wife didn’t happen to anyone else. I knew the best way to do that was to become the Realtor I wish I’d had. I learned, and continue to learn, so that I can share that knowledge with my clients. I love analyzing numbers and analyzing your offers before they’re submitted so you can feel confident that you’re making a sound decision. I love to guide buyers and sellers through these complex deals. I love the education part. That might sound odd coming from a high school dropout, but real estate ignited a love of learning and sharing those lessons. It’s what led me to create my Promotion Process! Working in health care for 9 years taught me empathy, patience, problem-solving, and communication. All valuable skills I have brought with me to real estate.
I always start off each relationship by getting to understand my client's needs. This is because I aspire to educate and empower growing families. I want to save you time and get you into the home that fits your family's needs sooner. You deserve a Realtor that understands you and your family's needs. For most people, a real estate transaction is the most expensive transaction in their life. Let me help guide your family through this process. I don't want these same negative experiences to be your story.

My name is Dan Palmer. I am a Husband and a Father. That's who I am, not what I do. What I do is help guide growing families through their journey to find their home in the Waterloo Region. I’ve lived in either Waterloo Region or neighbouring Wellington County since I was 2 years old. A place that I feel deeply connected to. It's where I was married. It's where my children were born. It's Home.
The reason that I focus on helping growing families is because I was once in your shoes. To a certain extent, I still am. I have two young children, 5 and 7 years old. My wife and I have now been married for 10 years. I met my wife while I was 17 working an after-school job cleaning at the University of Guelph. In my intelligent teenage brain, it seemed like a good idea to drop out of high school to pursue a full-time cleaning position. At this time, I worked with my wife’s mom. Her mom was learning English and I was learning Spanish. My now Mother-in-Law introduced us and we chatted for a couple of years on MSN Messenger before dating. Oh, the memories! By the time those few years passed, I had smartened up and had gone back to school and gotten my PSW Certificate.
Before my wife and I got married, I had an opportunity to purchase my first home. I had a bad experience with the first Realtor I hired, who didn't seem to take me seriously. They couldn't really relate to me. I hired a second Realtor who was much more relatable and he also spoke Spanish, which my wife (then girlfriend), and I speak (and now our kids as well).
“Dan was very accommodating to us, as with my other half a truck driver we took up alot of his weekends. Not only did he drive back and forth to mitchell and woodstock and even palmerston, he helped us finally find our new home in mitchell that we absolutely love! Thank you for all your support along our journey. Wish you and your family all the best”

“Dan is a very kind person who has helped us sell 2 houses, mine and my wifes home and my mothers home. We got well over asking for both houses and he made it very easy to understand and talked us through everything, step by step. I would recommend Dan to anyone.
During the selling of my mother's house she had passed. She lived in that home for over 50 years. Dan had a picture of that home, my childhood home painted for us! I will never forget the kind, caring and very thoughtful gift he gave us! If your looking for someone who will listen to what you want and take the time to explain and help you, he's your man!”
